Perhaps drivers in the Richmond area have already seen the new 2031 Range Rover cruising around on the streets. What they may not know, is that these powerful new SUVs have are sporting the world's first all-aluminum body in a sports utility vehicle

It was a British invasion at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Jaguar Land Rover wowed audiences with new models for each line of vehicles, but the big story was the great changes made to the new Range Rover. As part of an effort to make the vehicle more fuel-efficient, British engineers were able to shave off 700 pounds from the previous incarnations of the Range Rover by outfitting it with the aluminum body.

Since the auto show, 2013 Range Rovers have been shipped to dealerships like Land Rover Richmond and they are a smash hit. It is easy to see why. From a design perspective the Range Rover features a body-colored front bumper, vent blades, Dark Atlas front grille and standard 19'' wheels (alloys optional). Under the hood these mean machines are powered by a Naturally-aspirate, 5-liter V8 engine, which is strapped to an 8-speed automatic transmission for all the power and torque a Land Rover lover could ask for. The added gas mileage is just the cherry on top.
