There is a good chance that drivers in the Richmond area will not be driving through too many seven foot snow banks this winter, but that doesn't mean your new Land Rover shouldn't be able to handle one should you end up driving in frostier climes. That is why we here at Land Rover Richmond are excited to tell you that our favorite British automaker has just opened a cold-weather testing site in Northern Minnesota.

As part of their commitment to ensuring maximum performance on all road conditions, Jaguar Land Rover has chosen International Falls, Minnesota as the location for their new winter testing grounds. If you have never heard of International Falls it is probably because this town is snugged up along the Canadian border in one of the coldest and harshest areas of the continental United States. Temperatures can reach -55 degrees in the winter and icy winds are plentiful. This new facility features many different test-tracks with various types of road surfaces. There is even a frozen lake where cars are tested for their handling on pure ice.

Drivers pick Land Rover because they want to be able to conquer anything the road my throw at them. This new testing facility was built to compliment the hot-weather site Land Rover operates in Arizona. Both locations are proof that this automaker wants nothing more than peak performance from all of their products.
