What Are The Land Rover Service Intervals?
At 5,000 milesÂ
When your Land Rover reaches the 5,000-mile level,
or at six months, whichever comes first, here's what we recommend:Â
- Motor oil and filter change
- Check tire pressure, tire tread and levels of
wear-and-tear
- Lubricate the chassis
- Check and clean car battery and cablesÂ
At 10,000 miles
Here's what should be done at every 10,000-mile
mark or after 12 months, whichever comes first:
- Check and top off coolant levelsÂ
- Check and top off transmission fluid
- Inspect your steering and suspension systemsÂ
At 15,000 miles
Land Rover recommends these items should be
managed when you reach 15,000 miles:Â Â
- Check your hood latch assembly and
doorsÂ
- Check your parking brake and your brake system
- Replace your crankcase oil filter
- Replace your cabin air filter
- Check and
top off your power steering fluid
- Check and top off your cooling system fluid
- Implement the on-board diagnostic system
- Check the condition of your windshield wiper
blades and replace if needed
- Top off your windshield wiper fluid
- Check your wheels and examine the tread depth and
wear patterns of your tires
- Check your drive belts and replace if necessary
- Check your exhaust system
At 20,000 miles
Maintenance for your Land Rover at this point includes:
- Air filter replacement
- Clean battery and cables
- Inspect your windshield wipers and top off your
windshield wiper fluid
- Inspect your lighting system, replace lighting
elements as needed
- Inspect the exhaust system
- Inspect coolant, top off or do a flush and
replace if needed
- Inspect the fuel systemÂ
At 30,000 milesÂ
This maintenance checkpoint is more extensive. It
includes all the same maintenance recommended for 5,000 miles, 10,000 miles and
15,000 miles. It also includes the following:Â
- Inspect the brake line and hose
- Do a brake system fluid change
- Inspect the driveshaft
- Inspect the fuel line
- Inspect the seat belt system
- Inspect the steering system and the power
steering hoses
- Do an inspection of the suspension system
- Inspect the wiring harness
At 40,000 miles
The 40,000-mile service checkpoint covers these
items:
- Replace the oil in the transfer gearboxÂ
- Inspect the brake system
- Replace the differential fluid
