Land Rover is certainly not in short supply of ambassadors. Just last month at the New York Auto Show, actor Daniel Craig arrived to the event in a new Range Rover Sport. Now it appears that our favorite British automaker has acquired another ambassador of a different breed.

Say hello to Kenton Cool, one of the world's most prolific mountaineers.

Kenton Cool is the perfect representative of the Land Rover name because he embodies the same adventurous spirit that defines every new Land Rover model. The company is throwing their support behind Cool as well. At the end of this month, he will make his way to Mt. Everest with the intention of being the world's first person to initiate a Google Hang-out, live from the summit.

To help him and his team prepare for this expedition, Land Rover provided them with a Range Rover Evoque to bring them to the Lyngen Alps in Norway where they went ice climbing in unexplored parts of the mountains.

Cool commented on the comfy Norwegian road trip, saying, "The studded tyres gripped like spilt honey does to the floor, and no amount of playing with the wheel and controls could get the car to lose traction for more than an instant. At the end of each day the team were exhausted, having climbed for hours in temperatures of -15oC. Returning to the Evoque was such a welcome sight, extremely comfortable and easily coping with four exhausted climbers loaded with ice climbing kit. It really was a site for sore eyes."1

If you are going to listen to anyone about which car to take on an adventure, who better than Kenton Cool?
