We have noticed lately here at Land Rover Richmond that our brand has the penchants of searching out tough challenges with its vehicles, and we don't like to brag, but our models look good doing it. Earlier this month we talked about the Range Rover Sport tackling the Pikes Peak Challenge, which leads us to its newest conquest along the historic Silk Trail.
Three brand new Range Rover Hybrids are questing across Europe on their way to Mumbai, India, showing off their efficiency and durability.
The SUV's have been on the road over 22 days now and crossed more than 5,226 miles and numerous countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Along the way the hybrid vehicles have showcased the classic standards Land Rovers are known for, with the only mishaps being minor tire punctures and one cracked windshield.
These new hybrid models have also highlighted the 3.0-liter SDV6 diesel that is paired with a 47-hp electric engine, which has allowed the three SUV's to achieve a remarkable 40 miles per gallon on the journey.
The drivers are just reaching the halfway point, and the road that lies ahead is going to be more treacherous than the first half of the trip. Stay tuned on the Land Rover Richmond blog to see how the second half of the Mumbai Journey unfolds.
If this feat of strength by our three SUV's gets your blood flowing then come by our showroom serving the Tuckahoe, Virginia area and see all of the awesome vehicles in our new Land Rover inventory.
